Happy 18th Birthday!

Courtney's 18th birthday was February 1st. It seems like yesterday we brought her home from the hospital. High School graduation is right around the corner. Courtney will attend the University of Mississippi and a new chapter will begin.

"I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples." ~ Mother Teresa

A few birthday gifts include a fur vest (from her best friend Blake L.) and a Ronaldo bracelet.

New tennis bag.
The BIG SURPRISE...Michael Kors watch!
Beautiful flowers from Mamaw and Papaw.

Friday, we checked into the Courtyard Marriot in Collierville with her two very best friends (and Mom), purchased a few books from Barnes & Nobles, delicious Firebirds dinner, Great American Cookie for dessert, Warm Bodies movie and midnight swimming. Saturday morning began with a CrepeMaker breakfast, shopping at The Avenue Carriage Crossing Mall (shop 'til you drop) and the search was on for the perfect prom dress!

Let the fun begin!

We checked into our room around 3:30!
We have a crazy tradition...we ALWAYS jump on the beds!

Vera Bradley luggage!
Firebirds for dinner!

Warm Bodies movie (I selected to stay in the hotel).
 Let the shopping begin!

The Princesses had a fun-filled weekend!
(We purchased a beautiful prom dress; but that must remain a secret)!

Happy Birthday Courtney! I love you Sunshine!

BBVA Compass Bowl

Courtney and I attended our first bowl game,
BBVA Compass Bowl, this weekend in Birmingham, AL.
We were sad that Dink couldn't attend.

Friday, we arrived in Birmingham and checked into our hotel. The Ole Miss pep rally at Five Points South began at 5:30 with the band, cheerleaders, mascot, Coach Freeze, and players. The day ended with a delicious meal at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar.
Saturday, we began the day with an awesome breakfast at Edgar's Bakery & Cafe.
Courtney left Edgar's with her favorite treat, petit fours!
The Bowl Game kickoff began at 12:00 P.M., Legions Field.
The Compass Bowl had a record crowd of 59,135 -
Ole Miss 32k+ tickets!
The Rebels defeated the Panthers by a score of 38 to 17!
Hotty Toddy!
The day ended with shopping at The Summit and dinner at Romano's Macaroni Grill.
Sunday, we ate a late breakfast at Another Broken Egg,
shopped at The Outlet Shops of Grand River
and then headed home.

Needless to say, we had an awesome weekend with great friends!
We can't wait for more Rebel football!
Bring on the next bowl game!
