OOPS!!

First, time oops! After purchasing new ferns at Lowes for the front porch, I carefully place them in the car trunk. I am preoccupied wiping the wet dirt off my hands. Causally strolling back to the car after parking the buggy, I started digging in my purse for the keys. I knew the keys were not in the special pocket. I begin to panic! I knew I had the keys because they have to pop the trunk. Then it hit me…they are probably beside the roll of paper towels that I used for wiping my hands. I had to call my sweet hubby to deliver the extra set up keys. He just smiled and shook his head.

OOOPS!!

Making Candy for English Class

Alginate Impression

The dental lab was so exciting today! For the first time we mixed alginate for making impressions. I succeeded in making two impressions. The first impression went well. The second impressions I failed to complete a step. I did not realize my second classmate has not had an impression made before. She was a little nervous and she began to hold her breath. I talked softly and calmly to remind her to breathe through her nose and relax. As the alginate was setting, I failed to pull out her lower lip over the tray. Therefore, after removing the tray the central incisors (two front teeth) impression was incorrect. Tomorrow we will practice again! After a numerous few more attempts, we will be making  perfect impressions.

The year is flying by. It is hard to believe that October 11 we will begin our dental assistant extern.

Let's Do Lunch

Lunch is delicious at Thyme To Eat with two of my girlfriends, Dawn and Kim Sue. Life is busy for moms. However, it is so important for us to have time for our girl talk. The three of us chatted non-stop! I look forward to our next lunch date.

Hello, Blog friends I have missed you. I have taken a break from blogging. Every spare moment is enjoyed being outdoors. Don’t you just love the beautiful weather we are having! Love it!


Not long ago, I decided to go back to school. Yes, that is right. This 40+ mom and wife enrolled in school. Therefore, really most of my spare time is studying. I finally know what I want to be when I grow up! Ha!

Pine Tree Crosses

The Pine trees know when it is time for Easter!


The Pine trees start their new growth in the weeks before Easter—if you look at the tops of the Pine trees two weeks before you will see the yellow shoots. As the days get closer to Easter Sunday, the tallest shoot will branch off and form a cross. By the time Easter Sunday comes around, you will see that most of the Pine trees will have small yellow crosses on all the tallest shoots.

• Empty Cross – symbol of Jesus victory
• Passion Play- dramatize the Easter story
• Easter Lilies- The large, pure white blossoms remind Christians of the pure new life that comes to them through the Resurrection of Jesus.
• Pretzels - their twisted shape suggested arms crossed in prayer
• Lamb- It represents Jesus and relates His death to that of the lamb sacrificed on the first Passover. Jesus "the Lamb of God."
• Easter Egg- represents new life
• Rabbits- associated with the fertility of spring because of their ability to produce many young
• New Easter Clothes- represent the new life offered through the death and Resurrection of Jesus
